Walking Sydney

Today we are going to see a bit of Sydney. But first, our morning coffee on the balcony. Kathy gets major points for her choice of a hotel. On the 6th floor, balcony, and looking over the harbor and at the Opera House.















We started with a walk through the botanical gardens and a visit to the "living wall". And along the way we saw some new birds. Noisy ones - and a real kookaburra bird to boot.

Then a tour of the Opera House. It is much more impressive in person than from pictures. It really does make Sydney Harbor.































After lunch on to a visit of the Barracks Prison and learning more about the history of Australia and Sydney.
























When we visited the Opera House, we decided we needed to experience it so for the evening we saw a cabaret performance in one of the smaller venues (they have 6 ).
